deep roots in the soil of research

At Wildheart, we’re rooted in research even as we explore the ineffable dimensions of the great unknown. As participants in this extraordinary cultural shift away from centuries-old entrenched institutional religion to a more expansive, agile, and rapidly evolving spiritual landscape, we must better understand the needs, influences, and possibilities of our time, as well as historical spiritual trends. The stakes are too high to play guessing games with the future of humanity. Spirituality’s central role in cultural dynamics warrants high-quality, academically-sound research applied to every aspect of the spiritual domain.

Wildheart’s closest research partner is the Center for Mind and Culture (CMAC), a well-established non-profit research institute dedicated to pro-social research using leading-edge multidisciplinary and computational methods. CMAC has a strong research emphasis on the scientific study of religion, non-religion, and spirituality, developing novel surveys and study methods, building computational projections of the future of religion and spirituality, and supporting multidisciplinary dialogue to ensure that interpretations benefit from all relevant forms of expertise. See a video of CMAC’s impact here.

Research awareness and research findings ground everything that Wildheart Evolution does. And that’s how it should be: spirituality shouldn’t be about guessing any more than growing healthy food should be about guessing.
